Eager to know a bit more about me, eh?

Sure thing.

*clears throat*... ehem...

Content marketing, and digital marketing in general, was never a thing for me growing up.

Born in Kolkata, India, and having spent most of my time in Kathmandu, Nepal, my childhood aspiration was to become an engineer or a scientist. I pursued that route till college, achieving a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2017.

But as fate would have it, or rather, as my own terrible choices would lead to it, I found myself at a difficult crossroads in life. Long story short, despite a degree, I had barely learned much about engineering and was far from employable, even for entry-level roles in this field. 

Now bills don't pay themselves, and a man's got to make ends meet. So, searching for side gigs to make some money while I figure out my life and career, I found the Holy Grail of Content Writing.

Not so 'Holy' to be honest, since I started with super low-paying gigs that could be considered borderline exploitation, now that i reflect back on it.

However, I still have gratitude for those early projects, as it gave me the start I needed. Fast forward a few years, I'd grown as a writer, I enjoyed the work, and it was starting to pay well. It started to feel like I could keep on doing this as my full-time thing and not just a side gig.

Soon it became obvious - I had to pivot my career in this direction.

"But haven't you already pivoted?", my inner voice asked.

He was right.

Without realizing, I was already living and working as a full-time content writer, and enjoying every bit of it.

And that - in about 250 words - is a quick rundown of my journey into content marketing.

Also, kudos if you noticed that one, single grammatical error I've left in here. (Apparently, purposeful errors drive more engagement.)

Just because I love my work as a content marketer doesn't mean I do it 24/7. I'm still human. So when I'm not pretending to be the #1 content guy in the world, I waste my valuable time in:

Guitar mostly. (Don't ask me to play or sing... unless you're paying)

You want to bulk up? You eat a lot.
You want to be a writer? You read a lot.
